leeds-festivalPoche ore all'inizio dei Festival di Reading e Leeds: i Guns And Roses, saranno gli headliner di questa serata inaugurale. Suoneranno dopo i Queen Of The Stone Age e Biff Clyro sul Main Stage. Protagonisti anche i Gogol Bordello e Lostprophet. La BBC Radio 1, presente con grande dispiego di forze ai due festivals, avrà un palco tutto suo (condiviso con il mensile New Musical Express) sul quale saliranno stasera i LCD Sound System. Lo stesso palco ospiterà Mumford & Sons, Delphic e Yeasayer. Sul "Festival Republic Stage" si esibiranno Marina & The Diamonds, The Sunshine Underground,  Blood Red Shoes, Warpaint e Avi Buffalo. Al Leeds Festival invece, stasera toccherà agli Arcade Fire e ai rinati Libertines. Suoneranno entrambi sul palco principale preceduti da The Cribbs, The Maccabees, Mistery Jets e Futureheads. Sul "Lock Up Stage" saliranno i Bad Religion preceduti d The Rats.
